This is why we need to vote these people out of office. Obviously Naquetta Ricks, MBA has no idea what our Constitution means. It’s time to get these people out of our state! Maquette Ricks has no idea that guns don’t shoot people, people shoot people. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😳🤦‍♀️
How can someone like this woman get into office, have no clue what Amendment 2 stands for! Holy 💩!!!

My letter to Representative Ricks…

Dear Representative Ricks,

Nowhere in the Second Amendment is there any language relating to an individual needing to carry liability insurance in order to defend themselves.

Not only is HB24-1270 cost-prohibitive to many individuals, its also downright unconstitutional!

Myself and thousands of other Coloradans will be closely watching this bill in committee.

Please cast a “no” vote on this bill.

Sincerely,

Pueblo , Colorado

Thank you for reaching out regarding HB24-1270. It is a priority for me to listen to and learn from my constituents, so I sincerely appreciate that you’re sharing your perspective. A well regulated 2nd Amendment right to ensure public safety is what my office will continue to prioritize to make our communities and Colorado safer for all, while balancing individuals personal safety and choice.
Liability insurance in no way affects a person’s ability to obtain a firearm; it is only an addition to the requirements of purchasing and owning a firearm. While the 2nd Amendment has been determined to be an individual right, it is not an unlimited one.

Gun ownership, even when firearms are owned by responsible individuals, increases the likelihood of death or serious injury. In the case of multiple injuries or fatalities, few gun owners would be able to compensate the victims or victims’ families for their losses. Requiring liability insurance for gun ownership will reduce the likelihood that victims are left without remedy.

I am dedicated to continuing to ensure that the input of community members like yourself is heard, so thanks again for sharing your thoughts with me. I hope to find a balance that meets the needs of those across our state. You can find more information and track the progress of HB24-1270 here.

Hey!

This is where the Anons, weirdos, and common sense people hang out. I’m not normal nor do I want to be. Now imagine what your higher self looks like through the same lens—coded with purpose, armored in truth, and broadcasting on a frequency most still can’t hear.
