The story of the Bible I found in a tiny shop in Pueblo Colorado.
So here’s the behind story first. About 7 or 8 months ago I got rid of all my newer bibles. I just wanted to start clean and I didn’t like the way the updated New Testament was written. I felt the wordage was infantile.
I started to research the updated Bibles coming out because I started to see different web pages publishing information that were showing discrepancies on different verses. I found between the older versions and the new versions the stories were being written with little differences you could detect if you had an older version to reference back on.
I found that the words were changed in the newer versions. I guess I wanted something from the old written words once used. So I went looking for a Bible that predated the 1930’s. Not an easy find.
I found one on eBay that was said to be vintage and bought it. When I got it I couldn’t even stand being around it. It was so mold-saturated. Also even though it said Old and New Testament it wasn’t. The smell was very overpowering.
I found a little hole-in-the-wall bookstore and went on the search for an older Bible. I found one that was older, and get this it had a name of a young boy written by him in it, and there must have been an adult that put the full name in the book and their address. The man I came to find out, had lived in Pueblo, and now lives in Brookfield, WI.
He is 76. The writing looks like he was just learning how to write.
So the Bible I figure from the clues left, has to be at least 70 years old. It’s hard to find one this old that has the Old and New Testaments in it. It could be much older.
Why is it getting so hard to find older books? I would think it’s because of the censoring that is going on with books of all kinds.
I have been looking at verses online compared to the verses in this bible. It’s more than obvious that the words have been dummied down.
The texts in this book is beautiful and makes you think and investigate the verbiage.

As a society, we have become lazy in so many different ways. It’s easier to just go with the narrative than to look, discover, and be aware of the different aspects of those things around us.
So the old Bible I bought for 25 cents, brought a new lesson to me. It showed me the old stories, the way things were said, and how they were written.
We are losing a gift! We are losing the old ways and the old stories and how they were written. It’s so sad that this is being accepted.
I have been collecting older books, because they are rewriting them, the books are being changed and the change is not good!
I could add so much more on this subject but this was about the Bible I found.
